When I decided that I wanted to Lose my Fat Gut, I started to take steps that would be followed by most people in a similar position. I did manage to lose fat around the middle, but this took me far longer than I had anticipated. The problem was that I was going about things in the wrong way. If you would like to know what is the quickest and most effective method to lose your gut, then you can visit this site to lose stomach fat, otherwise continue reading.
The first thing that I looked at was my diet, and clearly the obvious thing to target was the amount of calories that I was eating. I thought that if I ate less calories, then the quicker I could get rid of gut fat. I started to cut back on the food that I was eating each day. At first this wasn’t so bad, but after about a week or so I was starting to find it hard. I felt a bit run down, and I also started to get a little moody (so my wife tells me). But I thought that this was how it was meant to be done, so I stuck to it.
The other thing that I knew that I had to do was exercise. To be honest I didn’t really mind exercise too much as I was pretty active when I was younger. I thought a few hours a week on an exercise bike and my midsection fat would soon start to disappear. So that was pretty much my plan. looking back it was a pretty useless plan, and the fact is that it was the type of plan which made losing a fat stomach a much longer process than it needed to be.
At the time I just thought that it was my age that was making it hard to lose my fat gut, and things would take time. The problem was that I was used to methods that people were using 30 years ago to lose weight. It never occured to me that nutrition and methods of training had moved on a lot from the days when I was growing up. I suppose it’s common to stick with what you know.
My flat stomach workout consisted of doing as many sit ups as I could, and riding an exercise bike for an hour about 3 times a week. I was also eating around 1200 calories a day. The good news was that I had lost weight after about a month, but the problem was that it was from my arms and legs. The fat on my stomach had hardly moved, and on top of that I felt tired all the time, and grumpy.
There had to be better way to lose your gut than the method I was using. I started to look around online for better ways of getting rid of fat. There are a ton of programs that are available on the internet which promise you that you can easily lose midsection fat. The biggest problem was which one should I pick? I am old enough to know that there are plenty of people out there who are more than happy to tell you what you want to hear in order to get your money.
I wanted something which had some sort of track record and had been used by a lot of people. I did find a program called The Truth About Six Pack Abs by a guy called Mike Geary. This particular system is rated the top abs program online and is still as popular today, as it was when it first came out. My first thoughts was that I was not particularly bothered about getting a set of ripped abs, I just wanted to lose fat gut, so that it didn’t look like that I was carrying a giant boiled egg under my clothes.
In the end I opted for a 21 day trial which costs a couple of bucks, just to see what it was like. There is a lot of information in the program, but all of it is worth paying attention to. I also realised that his system was not as I had assumed, for bodybuilders or fitness freaks. It could be used by anyone regardless of age or gender. I realised that everything that I had been doing up to that point was actually preventing me from losing the fat around the middle of my body. My flat stomach workout was all wrong, I was exercising too much, the way I was eating was slowing down my metabolism. It was an bit of an eye opener, I always thought that stomach exercises were the way to get rid of a fat gut, but you can lose fat drom the stomach without even doing any targeted exercises for the stomach.
Anyway I started using the methods in the Truth About Six Pack Abs Book, and I managed to lose 4 inches off my waist within 6 weeks. This was because I was using the most effective stomach workouts, not starving myself, and using cardio exercises which gave me the most for the effort I was putting in.
I have no hesitation in recommending this program for anybody who wants to get rid of gut fat. This is a healthy and very effective way of getting results. However if you think that you will lose a fat gut by just purchasing this system, you are mistaken. You will need to apply the information in the program. I’m not saying that it is easy, but what I can tell you from my own experience is that you will only have to exercise around 3 hours each week, and you will not have to go short on food. If this is the way you want things to be, then you should take a look at this program.
If you want to get rid of a fat stomach and are finding it difficult, then there will be certain steps that you will need to undertake to achieve this goal. By not following these steps, your attempts of shifting the fat from that stubborn area can be very difficult, if not impossible.
1. Never miss breakfast. Your body has had no calories while you have been asleep. This completely slows down the metabolism. When you wake up in the morning your metabolism is ready to crank itself up with the fuel that you are going to put into it. If the fuel (breakfast) doesn’t show up. Your metabolism thinks, “damn, I’m getting no fuel, We must be starving, I’d better slow right down and hang on to all the calories that I can”. This is called “starvation mode”.
2. Never skip meals. If your body gets calories at regular times, then your metabolism is happy. It will be glad to burn the calories because it will have learned that the next batch is only around the corner. If however you are waiting 5-8 hours before you have another meal, you’re in trouble. Your stomach is looking up waiting for the food to drop. When nothing turns up, your metabolism basically says, “damn, we’re starving again, better hold back on any burning”. When you finally get a meal down you, your metabolism will be thinking “oooh… food at last, but I’d better hang onto these calories as well, cause I don’t know when I’ll be getting anymore”.
3. Start doing Cardio Exercises. When it comes to getting rid of gut fat , most people drop to the floor and start banging out crunch after crunch. They get depressed because their abs are not showing. Ab exercises do not burn fat! They make your ab muscles stronger. The only way to get rid of the fat from around your stomach is by burning it. Calories are fuel, you burn fuel by using it. OK, do your ab exercises, but you’d better add some significant cardio work, if you want to start seeing those abs.
Following these steps will set you on your way to achieve your aims, however there are specially designed programs which are available, which are specifically targeted to help you to get rid of gut fat.
